If you drive, ride a bike, or even take the bus, you probably have noticed: Portland’s roads took a beating during the recent winter weather.
The City is dedicating more crews and resources to fix potholes in what they are calling a Patch-a-thon. “Portlanders are encouraged to report potholes by sending a detailed description and photos to PBOT dispatchers by email pdxroads@portlandoregon.gov or by using the PDX Reporter App.“
The City’s pothole map is here, where you can see where potholes are reported and when they are filled.
There are plenty of important things happening Saturday. I couldn’t leave any of these events out.

Oregon Senator Ron Wyden is hosting a town hall meeting from noon to 2 pm at David Douglas High School. Wyden is hosting eleven town hall meetings around the state through the end of February. This is the only one in Portland.

A Fix-It Fair is being held at Madison High School. Get information on health, safety in the home, and lead poisoning prevention, home repair, and gardening. You can also bring a small appliance or article of clothing to be repaired by Repair PDX volunteers. Some classes will be help in Spanish. Lunch and child care is provided. “We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes. Our neighborhood volunteers will also provide a potluck lunch for all volunteers after the planting is complete.
