“Buckman auto theft and property crime continues to run high and relatively unchecked,” writes Susan Lindsay, chairman of the Buckman Community Association, in a Facebook post last week.
The report was delivered by Portland Police Bureau officers during the BCA’s monthly meeting. She adds that it’s important to report all crimes so police can allocate resources properly and give a true picture of crime statistics.
Lindsay said to contact PPB Officers Kenneth Fox (kenneth.fox@portlandoregon.gov ) and/or Christopher Gjovik (christopher.gjovik@portlandoregon.gov) at the Central Precinct (503-823-0097), and leave a voicemail. Gjovik is the neighborhood response officer.
The BCA meets the second Thursday of every month at the Multnomah County Boardroom, 501 SE Hawthorne. The BCA board meets from 6 pm to 7 pm, followed by the general meeting from 7 pm to 9 pm.
