FRIDAY
I need some help with the nightlife part of these posts. I will make the rounds soon, and see what I can find fun in the neighborhood at night.

Montavilla Station has regular music, but their Facebook page hasn’t been updated since October 2011 and if they have a website I can’t find it. And I really would like to. Grr. 417 SE 80th Ave * ??? * free
Candlelight Lounge (7334 NE Glisan St.) has karaoke, as does Chinese Village (520 SE 82nd Ave)! 9ish * free
Deadpool and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and five other second-run / special showing films are on at Academy Theater! 7818 SE Stark * $4 (yep, $4 for an adult)
SATURDAY
EDIT: The Montavilla Food Co-op Pancake Breakfast is next week, not this week. Pardon the error please.
Chinese (Cantonese) Storytime Storytime presented in Cantonese for children ages 0-6 years (with a favorite adult and other family members). Midland Library, 805 SE 122nd Ave. * 2-2:45 pm * free
SUNDAY
The Montavilla Farmers Market is on every Sunday until October! I went last week and it was super cool. I got some strawberries, sweet potatoes, kale, and sugar snap peas. Bam, let’s cut out the middle man and put more money in our farmers’ pockets.
7600 block of SE Stark Street in the gravel lot across from Mr. Plywood * 10 am – 2 pm * free
When you’re driving on the interchange between I-84 and I-205, please keep your attention fixed on traffic and the road ahead of you. When you get where you are going, taken a moment to consider that the small slip of land between the two roadways called Gateway Green apparently has some decent bird watching. It seems implausible, but my attention has been piqued. Gateway Green is excellent for cycling too, I hear.
email Jim at jlabbe@urbanfauna.org for directions * 7:30 am – 9 am * free
Andrew- Oops! Pancake breakfast is NEXT Saturday, not today (no, I *didn’t* find out the hard way, gladly)! https://mbasic.facebook.com/events/1372627592763284 all the best, mettÄ, – joseph

P.S. Can you tell me a bit more about what “nightlife” does and doesn’t constitute for you? I.e., would community song-circles that go until 11pm count? 😉

Yeah! That kind of event would be awesome, if it’s open to the public
