As of Friday morning, Cooper, one of the Belmont Goats who were moved to Lents, is doing well (FB update). He needed surgery for a blockage, and there’s a fund raiser to pay for it.

The group meets in the public area. This means that the participants are in a library that is busy and frequently has armloads of enthusiastic kids, but club volunteers and participants recognize that developing concentration is an important part of learning.”

The bar doesn’t really have a web presence, so I called Montavilla Station. The bartender said they’re having a blues party with a band called Jafco, and a champagne toast at midnight. Two years ago, they gave away NYE swag like horns and hats. It’s always a good time at the Station.
